SAYULITA, NAYARIT

Have a drink, read a book, and feel happy

Visit Sayulita's amazing beaches

Sayulita’s beach is famous for its nice surfing waves. You can find surfing schools right by the beach or book a surfing trip to nearby beaches. You can also take a boat trip to the Marietas Islands National Park or even a fishing or sunset sailing trip.
On Sayulita’s surroundings you can find many other beaches that you can walk or drive to. And, if you miss the city, you can take a bus or taxi for an hour drive to Puerto Vallarta.

Visit the plaza and restaurants

Our visitors love to stroll along the central plaza and it’s colorful side streets: full of stores to eat all kinds of Mexican and international food, have a drink, buy an eccentric souvenir, and book your next adventure with one of the many tourism service companies. Recently, the town was named Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town), and maybe you will be able to feel some of its unique magic along its pebbled streets and interesting stores.

Dates and Tips on Sayulita's fiestas

January: Sayulita Fest, (end of January through beginning of February). It is a week long festival full of activities, free movies and other events at beaches and places around town. A professional rock concert is also organized for the last night of the festival. A tip: last year we could hear the concert very nicely from our rooftop terrace at Villa Los Corales.

February: Town’s Fare, (during the second part of the month). There are rides and fare activities, and traditional candy and food vendors in and around the baseball field. Every night there is music that can be heard all over town.

Whale watching: From the last weeks of December until March, Humpback whales come to the Banderas Bay to reproduce. Sometimes you can see them swim in front of our Sayulita coast. Tip: if you are patient and lucky you might get to see them from our rooftop at Villa Los Corales.

Semana Santa (Easter week): The winter is over and the hot days of spring are starting. The weekend of Good Friday to Resurrection Sunday we get many visitors from all over Mexico. And even though the town and beaches are full of people, we at Villa Los Corales are always ready to help our guests relax.

End of the spring in May or June: The heat is becoming present but rainy season hasn’t started yet. You can enjoy Sayulita in full colors and even the beginning of the cheaper prices for vacation rentals and hotels.

October: the heat of the summer is almost gone but you may get some of the last rainy days. Most businesses are open and you can see Sayulita getting ready for the high season. You will find less people in town and can enjoy a great time. And you will probably even get lower prices in your bookings.

December: The Virgin’s day is a catholic religious event from the 5th to the 12th of December. Very loud fireworks are used very early in the morning to call in to early mass. On the 12th afternoon there is a very colorful parade from the main street into the plaza where the Catholic Church is.

Mid-December: The town is already at full bloom and ready for the winter guests, but there are few visitors since Christmas is just days away. A visit to Sayulita at this time means great weather and the best of Sayulita without the crowds.

We love our town and are working hard to make it a better place, yet keep its small town atmosphere. We in Villa Los Corales would be very glad to be your home base while you make your vacations in Sayulita a great experience.

Glad to be your hosts
